Nominee's Bio: Daisy Mina Antwi is the founder and curator of Goldcoast Literacy Program (GLP) which is a nonprofit that is into children's literacy advocacy in Ghana focusing on slums and rural areas. GLP is hoping for an illiteracy-free world where she wishes to have every child in Ghana learn how to read and have fun doing it. She, therefore, goes the extra mile to provide the basic tools and resources to help children in slums and rural communities free themselves of illiteracy. Since its founding in 2017, her nonprofit has been focusing on children's literacy, scholarship schemes, teenage mother birthing, children's welfare, building and refurbishing libraries, child-to-a-book projects, outreaches and other forms of advocacy. Daisy has reached out to 2000 children in her community outreaches, seen the successful birth of two teenage mothers and put them back in school. She has 17 children benefiting from her scholarship schemes. And 12 on the welfare scheme.Daisy also handled cases of child abuse.She just cut the sod for an ultra-modern ICT lab in the Volta Region whiles gathering funds to renovate the entire school of Wechao Bao Catholic school in Wa West.she is on a mission to change the educational narrative
